Kalpataru Limited is the real estate arm of the Kalpataru Group, whose roots go back to 1969 and its chairman Mofatraj P. Munot. The company describes more than 130 completed projects across Mumbai, Thane, Panvel, Pune, Hyderabad, Indore, Bengaluru and Jodhpur, spanning luxury, premium and mid-income homes as well as commercial and retail space. Its work runs from land acquisition through design, construction and sales, which makes it a developer that controls a project end to end.
The company's Mumbai history includes some early vertical milestones. Neelambar, completed in 1973, was built at 21 storeys, and Kalpataru Kshitij became Mumbai's tallest residential tower at 33 storeys in 1976, a height it held for about 25 years. That tradition of tall, carefully planned residential towers is the lens through which the Swami Samarth Nagar project is best read.
In Swami Samarth Nagar, the Kalpataru name is attached to the Hrushikesh Lokhandwala redevelopment on Lokhandwala Back Road, Andheri West. Published descriptions place the land at roughly four to four and a half acres, with two towers and a podium-led layout. Residences are planned as 3 BHK and 4 BHK homes, and the developer's own page for the same parcel also lists 4.5 BHK and Jodi configurations under the name Kalpataru Vian.
The developer's Vian page quotes a starting price of 5.61 crore and a possession date of June 2032, while a separate pre-launch listing for Hrushikesh Lokhandwala quoted prices from 7.5 crore onwards. For a buyer, the practical reading is that this is a new-launch redevelopment with a long construction horizon, and the configuration and price should be confirmed against the latest sales material at the time of enquiry.
The locality sits in the Lokhandwala and Shastri Nagar belt of Andheri West, a neighbourhood that has long been associated with residential and corporate demand. Connectivity is the strongest argument. Andheri (West) on Line 2A is an elevated metro terminal and is listed at about 2.7 km from the project, while the DN Nagar interchange links to the Blue Line. Versova metro station on Line 1 and Andheri railway station are both within easy reach, and the Western Express Highway, Link Road and SV Road form the road spine.
The Pink Line is the infrastructure development most relevant to this address. The 14.477 km elevated corridor is planned to run 13 stations from Swami Samarth Nagar (Lokhandwala) to Vikhroli, with interchanges at Lines 2, 3, 4 and 7. It is under construction under MMRDA, which means the station will become a fixed transit point for the Kalpataru residences once it opens.
Social infrastructure is dense. Infiniti Mall sits within walking distance, the Lokhandwala market and its restaurants and multiplexes are nearby, and the area has established schools, hospitals and supermarkets. Other planned links, including the Andheri-JVLR missing link and the Yellow Line extension toward Kurla, add to the demand case.
Portal estimates for Swami Samarth Nagar put average rates close to 43,700 per sq ft, placing the locality in the premium segment of Andheri's market. 99acres records Andheri at about 36,750 per sq ft, with prices up 6.7 percent over the last year and 14.8 percent over three years. The gap between portals is a reminder that rates should be compared on the same basis, such as carpet area and project age.
Kalpataru's Mumbai list spans several micro-markets close to Lokhandwala. Kalpataru Solitaire is a completed project in Juhu, Kalpataru Solace is listed as a new launch in Jogeshwari East, Kalpataru Infinia is in Santacruz East, and Kalpataru Woodsville is in Chandivali. Taken together, the portfolio shows the developer's repeated presence in the western suburbs, with Swami Samarth Nagar as its Andheri West address.
