Kalpataru Crescendo is the project through which Kalpataru Limited is most visible in Wakad. Listings place the scheme on about seven acres at Kaspate Wasti, which falls within the Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal area even though it is marketed under the Wakad name. Portal descriptions point to four towers, a scale that suits a contained residential community rather than a multi-phase township.
Kalpataru Ltd was established in 1969 by Mofatraj P Munot and is headquartered in Mumbai. Its work centres on premium residential, commercial and retail buildings, integrated townships and gated communities, mainly in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Pune. The company has completed 75 projects covering about 16 million square feet, and it describes a portfolio of nearly 50 million square feet across ongoing, forthcoming and planned schemes.
Pune is the group's second major base. Its residential names in the city include Kalpataru Serenity in Manjri, Kalpataru Blossoms on Sinhgad Road, and Kalpataru Jade Residences in Baner. Within Wakad, Kalpataru's listed projects include Kalpataru Harmony, Kalpataru Splendour and Kalpataru Exquisite, and the developer's own project pages describe Oriana as a Wakad address. Taken together, Crescendo sits within a cluster of Kalpataru schemes in the same locality rather than standing alone.
Wakad lies at the junction of the Mumbai-Bangalore highway and the older Mumbai-Pune highway, which has long made it one of western Pune's better-connected residential pockets. Hinjewadi's IT parks are close by, with Phase 1 roughly 4 to 5 km away by road. Metro Line 3 runs as a 23.3 km elevated corridor with 23 stations between Hinjewadi and Shivajinagar, and Wakad Chowk is one of its stations, placed where the highway meets the road into Hinjewadi. The first phase has received commissioning approval, with the remaining stretch to Shivajinagar following.
One micro-market guide places Wakad Main Road between 9,500 and 11,000 rupees per square foot, with Tathawade and Thergaon lower, while a Square Yards snapshot from April 2026 reports an average asking price of about 12,241 rupees per square foot. Flat values on 99acres rose 6.9 percent over one year and 30.8 percent over three years. A mid-segment 2 BHK in the locality was reported to rent for 20,000 to 28,000 rupees a month, with rents up about 7 percent year on year.
Wakad has developed into an education hub within Pimpri-Chinchwad, with institutions including Balaji Institutes, Indira College, Akshara International School and Euro School. Two BRT corridors, Bhosari-Wakad and Sangavi-Kiwale, serve its roads, and a second Phoenix mall is being opened in the area. For a Kalpataru buyer at Crescendo, these everyday facilities sit within a short drive of the project.
