Kalpataru Enters Suman Nagar Redevelopment

Kalpataru has entered into redevelopment agreements for two significant housing societies in Mumbai's Chembur and Goregaon, spanning a total of 7.5 acres. The Chembur project, the first to commence, involves the Suman Cooperative Housing Society, located in Suman Nagar on five acres.

Scope and Scale

Kalpataru plans to construct six new towers, offering over 4.2 lakh square feet of carpet area. The redevelopment will provide a total of 350 apartments available for sale. The project replaces existing housing stock; the current society comprises ten buildings and 136 residences.

Timeline and Delivery

The redevelopment is set to be completed within 42 months from the commencement of construction. In 42 months, including a six-month grace period, the project is expected to be completed. This places anticipated delivery around 2028–2029.

Suman Nagar is situated in the central part of Mumbai, near Swastik Park, Sindhi Society Chembur and Shiv Shakti Nagar. The locality benefits from excellent connectivity via the nearby Chembur railway station and major roadways. Chembur Colony Bus Depot, Kurla East, VNP & RC Marg Junction railway station, and Fertilizer Township railway station are nearby commute facilities.
