Kalpataru Projects International Posts Record FY26 Revenue, Profit Surges 77%
Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) achieved its highest-ever financial year in FY26, with consolidated revenue reaching ₹27,143 crore, marking a 22% year-on-year increase. Consolidated profit after tax jumped 81% to ₹1,030.63 crore from ₹567.27 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Profitability and Margins Expand
Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items surged 62% year-on-year to ₹1,334 crore, boosting margins by 120 basis points. Consolidated EBITDA for FY26 stood at ₹2,240 crores, a 22% year-on-year increase, with an EBITDA margin of 8.3%.
The company delivered a robust FY26 with consolidated revenue up 22% YoY and PBT margins expanding 120 basis points to 4.9%, exceeding guidance.
Strong Order Book and Order Inflows
The order book remains strong at ₹65,457 crore, supported by an order intake of ₹26,400 crore during FY26. The company enters the new fiscal year with a massive order book balanced between domestic (61%) and international (39%) projects, with order wins during the year amounting to ₹26,400 crores, primarily driven by the T&D and B&F segments.
Balance Sheet Strengthens
Reflecting a strong focus on financial discipline, KPIL's net debt was reduced by a substantial 53% YoY to ₹915 crore as of March 31, 2026. The consolidated net worth stood at ₹7,776.55 crores, with a debt equity ratio of 0.43 times.
Dividend Recommendation
The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹11 per share. Kalpataru Projects International has fixed June 29, 2026 as the record date for a final dividend of ₹11 per share, aggregating to 550% for FY 2025-26.
Segment Performance
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) segment remained the primary revenue driver, contributing ₹26,648.74 crores in FY26. Except for the water business, all business units reported robust growth driven by strong execution.
Strategic Developments
The company reported several one-time items affecting its financials, including an incremental impact of ₹29.48 crore from new Labour Codes, an impairment of ₹90.50 crore on goodwill and intangibles due to a Brazilian subsidiary's judicial reorganisation, and a gain of ₹156.56 crore from the sale of its stake in Vindhyachal Expressway Private Limited.
