Kalpataru Projects International Reports Record Q1 FY27 Results

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL), a leading global infrastructure EPC company with operations spanning 75 countries, delivered its strongest opening quarter on record for fiscal 2027. The company delivered its highest-ever Q1 performance across revenue, operational profitability, and order backlog in the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Profitability and Revenue Growth

KPIL recorded a 4% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue for Q1 FY27, reaching ₹6,408 crore. Excluding the impact of Road SPVs and the Brazil business, comparable revenue growth stood at 9% year-on-year.

Profit After Tax surged 46% year-on-year to ₹312 crore, significantly outpacing revenue growth. Profit Before Tax rose 45% year-on-year to ₹420 crore, with PBT margin expanding by 190 basis points to 6.6%.

EBITDA grew 7% year-on-year to ₹562 crore, with EBITDA margin expanding by 30 basis points to 8.8%.

Record Order Book and Strong Order Inflows

Order inflows YTD FY27 totaled ₹7,668 crore, with a robust order book of ₹66,607 crore as of June 30, 2026. This marks an all-time high for the company's backlog.

Revenue reached a record first-quarter level, supported by strength in transmission, buildings, oil and gas, and water.

Balance Sheet Strength and Deleveraging

Consolidated net debt fell by 67% year-on-year to ₹917 crore as of June 30, 2026. Net debt-to-equity at 0.1x reflects a conservative capital structure.

Net Working Capital cycle improved by 11 days year-on-year, standing at 80 days.

Credit Rating and Forward Guidance

Strategic investments and disciplined capital management led to a credit rating upgrade to AA+ stable.

The company confirmed FY27 guidance of at least 15% annual revenue growth and PBT margin improvement of over 75 bps.
