Kalpataru Projects International Secures ₹4,439 Crore in T&D Orders, Surpasses FY26 Annual Target
Global T&D Portfolio Strengthens as KPIL Announces ₹4,439 Crore Order Win
Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) and its subsidiaries have secured new orders worth approximately ₹4,439 crore in the power transmission and distribution (T&D) segment, announced in late March 2026. The milestone enabled the company to surpass its annual order intake target of ₹26,000 crore for FY26.
Geographic Span and Contract Details
The contracts include a 400 kV transmission line and associated substations project in Africa, multiple transmission line projects in India, and a substation project in Sweden. These wins reflect KPIL's growing presence across international markets and its ability to execute complex infrastructure projects.
The Africa assignment encompasses high-voltage transmission infrastructure critical to regional grid expansion, while domestic Indian orders strengthen KPIL's domestic T&D order book amid sustained growth in power infrastructure investment. The Swedish substation contract extends the company's European footprint through its subsidiary Linjemontage I GrastorpAB in Sweden.
Strategic Context: Energy Transition Driving Demand
Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot noted that the company is witnessing strong momentum in the power T&D space, driven by growing investments linked to the global energy transition, and that the latest wins highlight KPIL's ability to leverage its integrated EPC capabilities to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.
The T&D segment continues to play a central role in KPIL's growth strategy, supported by increasing investments in grid infrastructure and the global shift toward cleaner energy systems.
Portfolio Strength and Order Book Momentum
The T&D business, along with the Buildings & Factories (B&F) business, collectively accounts for nearly 50% and 40% of the FY26 year-to-date inflows, respectively. This demonstrates balanced sectoral performance and reduced concentration risk across KPIL's diversified order intake.
The company operates from a strong institutional base. KPIL is one of India's largest listed, diversified engineering and construction companies engaged in Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Buildings & Factories (B&F), Water Supply & Irrigation, Railways, Oil & Gas Pipelines, Urban Mobility (Flyovers & Metro Rail), Highways and Airports.
